Below is some information to help you understand more about our church and what we believe.  If you have any questions or want to learn more, any of our pastors will be glad to talk to you.  You are always welcome to worship with us, and we would love for you to make Franklin Community of Faith your church home.

Franklin Community of Faith is a church of the Nazarene, named in honor of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lived in a town called Nazareth. 

• We believe in one triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) who is eternal and who created the world.
  We believe that each person has sinned and needs to be reconciled to God.
• We believe that God loves each person, regardless of gender or nationality or social status, and desires relationship with each person.
• We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth and lived as wholly God and wholly man.  We believed he died on a Roman cross and rose to life three days later and that through him all persons have the opportunity for forgiveness of sin and eternal life.
• We believe that God not only forgives us and enables us to have eternal life, but that He transforms us so that we can be more like Christ in all that we say and do.  We believe that just as God created the world, He continues to create newness in people who choose to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
• We believe that God provides His Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us, to convict our conscience and to empower our lives by changing our hearts.
• We believe that the Bible was written by humans but inspired by God and that God reveals Himself to us through the Word.   We believe that the Bible provides relevant instruction for every believer and that regular Bible study is essential for a healthy Christian life.
• We believe in God’s overwhelming love for all of creation and that before a person ever turns to God, God is, in His grace, already present and waiting, with outstretched arms to embrace that person.
• We believe that our proper response to this gift of divine love and grace is to believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and to turn away from our former sinful life and accept the life and heart changing power of the Spirit.
• We believe that the more we turn to God and surrender our lives to Him, the more we grow in relationship with Him and the more our hearts can conform to His will.
• We believe that from the beginning, God created us to live in supportive and loving community.  We believe that the Church is needed for each believer as a place for instruction, encouragement, accountability and worship and that the Church is called to share Christ’s love with a broken and needy world.  Franklin Community of Faith strives to be a church that honors the will of God and glorifies Him by loving one another and our community in His name.
